Welcome

The Europa Reformation Society is a group dedicated to building and improving the foundational systems which guide our lives. Whether that be calendars, unit systems, writing scripts, or something other. All work is released to the public, and often open to public input.

On this site you will find all of the latest projects, news, and publications.

If you are new, please check out our project pages to see the work we do. The PDF booklets on each project's page is where the bulk of the information regarding each can be found. We encourage you to read them front to back as they attempt to be rather comprehensive on the subject at hand. We are always looking for feedback and involvement, so please get involved and don't hesitate to reach out!

New Years Update

12025.11.09 (2025/12/29)

Since our last update things have been quiet as lots of work has been done. Because of the sheer volume of changes this news update will far larger than normal. Let us begin by pointing out that the webpages behind the RAEA have undergone some general refactoring and should hopefully be easier and more useful to navigate. Additionally, we have added a quickstart page for the RAEA so that should someone not be interested in theory could jump right in to using it. The Great Gatsby and Wuthering Heights have now been added to our library. Lots of background work has been happening with tooling and now we are able to transcribe entire books at once for the site as well as handle book specific language. In the not so distant future this will be extended as well to the generation of EPUBs for our transcribed books. Also now available on our RAEA development page are letter and digraph frequency charts based on from our currently transcribed books.

On the front of changes to the RAEA itself there have been several after various community questions were raised. Most notably is the removal of Á to be replaced with Ä. Furthermore, several of the formal names have undergone changes to make them clearer examples of the sounds they represent. Discussion has been expanded on the dialect the RAEA reflects. And probably the largest addition is surrounding the handling of syllabic consonants which are where most of the confusion regarding how words should be spelled lies. As always various edits and reformattings to the booklet were also made.

We are looking forward to and wish you all a happy new year and success in all the opportunities that may pass your way.

RAEA Video Intro

12025.08.20 (2025/10/10)

Today marks the first video going live on our YT channel providing a general overview of the Reformation American English Alphabet. With this, it hopefully marks the beginning of a successful future towards the public sphere and an influx on new minds to hone our works.

RAEA Maturity

12025.08.18

Alas, as time and much effort has gone on we are finally approaching stability among the general rules of the RAEA. In our 1.3 release of it there has been a slight tweak in the marking of long and short I as well as the (ear) multigraph. This should hopefully make the whole system more consistent and easier for those unfamiliar. Additionally, the transcription software has been bumped to version 0.32 addressing a bug with separating words and extra punctuation preventing transcription. Further, the entire dictionary has been recombed through and many mistakes in transcription fixed. In light of all this, all of Alice in Wonderland has been retranscribed and at long last the final 3 chapters added finally bringing the book to its conclusion. We soon will be looking towards other books to bring into our fold as well (If you have any requests feel free to reach out). And as always, do let us know if you find any issues!

General Updates

12025.07.26

Since last time, more work has gone into the RAEA. Some of the letters have been changed and more context given to the background of how words are spelled. Furthermore, some slight bugs have also been fixed in the transcription software. Finally, up to chapter nine of Alice In Wonderland has been transcribed. As always if you find any issues don't hesitate to reach out.
